Bibliography

What about a bibliography? The following is the list of the sources I found most useful when I was writing my novel partially based on a true D-Day story. It also features a book on everyday life and one on football in Britain during the war because these subjects appear in the novel as well. All these books make excellent reading and I strongly advise them.

You may wonder why I did not remove the post-it notes from the unmissable The Day The Devils Dropped In before taking the pic (see below). Well, that's to show you I actually did my homework.

It is not because my novel is now on sale (the English version is under way) that I stopped reading on D-Day. I am currently tackling the much-talked about D-Day - The battle for Normandy by Antony Beevor.

Che ne dite di una bibliografia? La lista precedente comprende le fonti che ho trovato più utili mentre scrivevo il mio romanzo parzialmente basato su una storia vera del D-Day. Ne fanno parte un libro sulla vita di tutti i giorni e uno sul calcio nel Regno Unito durante la guerra perché anche questi argomenti appaiono nel romanzo. Tutti questi libri sono eccellenti e li consiglio senza riserve. Quanto ai siti internet, pubblicherò la lista in uno dei prossimi post.

Se vi chiedete perché non ho rimosso i post-it dalle pagine dell'indispensabile "The day the devils dropped in" prima di fotografarne la copertina, la risposta è semplice: volevo dimostrarvi che ho effettivamente fatto il compito.

Non ho smesso di leggere sul D-Day solo perché il mio romanzo è già in vendita. Attualmente sto affrontando il famoso "D-Day - The battle for Normandy" di Antony Beevor.
