Alla creazione di questo esemplare contribuirono quattro protagonisti della scena orologiera svizzera d’alta gamma. Il movimento fu progettato a metà degli Anni 60 da Audemars Piguet e Jaeger-LeCoultre, che si incaricò della fabbricazione vera e propria. Patek Philippe fornì il bilanciere Gyromax con masse di regolazione avvitabili al posto delle viti. Jaeger-LeCoultre fornì questo calibro anche al suo partner di antica data Vacheron Constantin. Questo modello presenta una decorazione elaborata, con la superficie del quadrante che replica il motivo della carrure, della lunetta e del bracciale integrato. Gli annunci pubblicati a pagina 64 (1968) e 113 (1977) di Watch Ads 1960-2000 presentano orologi quasi identici, a conferma del fatto che la Casa li considerava rappresentativi della sua collezione.

No less than four major players of the high-end Swiss watchmaking industry were involved in the creation of this timepiece. Its movement was designed in the mid-1960s by Audemars Piguet and Jaeger-LeCoultre, with the latter taking care of the actual manufacturing. Patek Philippe supplied the Gyromax balance wheel adjusted by means of turnable weights rather than screws. Jaeger-LeCoultre also granted use of this caliber to the long-time partner Vacheron Constantin. This model features a rather complex design, with the dial surface replicating the decoration pattern of the middle case, bezel and integrated bracelet. Nearly identical watches appear in the ads found at page 64 (1968) and 113 (1977) of Watch Ads1960-2000, suggesting that the brand regarded them as iconic of its collection.
